Casa de Juárez Museum

Casa de Juárez Museum

Description
The house where Antonio Salanueva used to live, today is No. 609 in the 6th block of Garcia Vigil Street. It is also known as "Casa de Juárez" because Benito Juárez, the Meritorious of America, lived there after he left Guelatao in 1818.

The modest colonial structure was restored and converted into a small historical museum on December 28, 1974. The rooms contain artefacts and furniture, and the bookbinding shop includes presses and tools. It also houses some documents from the Independence War, Reform, Intervention, and personal effects of Benito Juárez.

Location
It is located north of the Zócalo in the City of Oaxaca, at 609 Garcia Vigil Street
